Galle is the major city of the southern province in Sri Lanka.It overlooks the Indian Ocean.The first visitors of the Galle was Portuguese and they decided to stay at Galle with their ships.Portuguese the Dutch took over and then the British in 1796, who remained in power until Sri Lanka gained independence in February 1948.The historical Galle-Fort became a UNESCO world heritage city in 1988 and now the place is on of the most desirable place.The buildings were made with coed features of an European and Sri Lankan cultures but there are so many buildings that constructed in British era.
